The Alba is a 42-metre cruiser with a glass-sided saloon, a leather ceiling and a full bar, so the view runs almost all the way round. Food comes to the table on platters, one for every four guests. Alba is Italian for sunrise.
The Alba takes private functions of up to 80, from weddings to year-end lunches.

The journey
1,600 km by road
The Alba was built at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and came to Hartbeespoort on the back of a truck: 1,600 km over two weeks, with a police escort, after months of planning.
A new pier was built for her at the harbour, and a crane lifted her into the dam. In 2024 she won the RASA Rosetta Award for Best in Service.
